The Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Spain, Ilia Giorgadze and the Police Attach of Georgia to the Kingdom of Spain, Shalva Shubladze, met with the Director General of the Department of International Relations and Migration, Elena Garzon Otamendi and Antonia Mena Lopez, Director of the International Police Cooperation Department.
The sides positively assessed the successful bilateral police cooperation between the Kingdom of Spain and Georgia.
The meeting participants discussed the future prospects of relations between the two countries in the field of circular migration, the priority of cooperation in the field of circular migration with the EU member states and the importance of opportunities for Georgian citizens in Spain in terms of employment and qualification training.
The parties also discussed the issue of recognition of driving licenses issued by Georgia and planned to hold working meetings and consultations between the agencies in this regard.
At the end of the meeting, the Georgian side handed over certificate of appreciation to the Spanish law enforcers on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri for the successful police cooperation.
