Border Police helicopter of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been involved in heavy snowfall elimination work in Western Georgia.
Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs - Vakhtang Gomelauri, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Defense - Irakli Chikovani, Head of the Government Administration - Levan Zhorzholiani and local government representatives monitored the situation in the villages of all three municipalities of Guria region from a helicopter.
As soon as meteorological conditions improved, Border Police helicopter has been involved in heavy snowfall elimination activities in Western Georgia since this morning.
The helicopter will participate in rescue operations as needed, including activities aimed at providing the population with basic necessities and food.
Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Defense Forces and representatives of other agencies, with all relevant special equipment, will continue to work and assist the population in round-the-clock regime.
