The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, met with the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Kairat Abdrakhmanov, paying an official visit to Georgia.
The Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative of Georgia to the OSCE and other International Organizations in Vienna, H.E. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili also attended the meeting.
Within the meeting, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze discussed the implemented and ongoing reforms within the Ministry. Deputy Minister also highlighted measures implemented within the Ministry to ensure proper and effective anti-discriminative policy.
OSCE High Commissioner positively assessed the implemented reforms within the Ministry and expressed hope that Georgia will ensure to share experience and best practice with interested countries.
At the end of the meeting, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze expressed his gratitude towards the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities and noted that cooperation with the OSCE institutions is an important priority for Georgia.
