The officers of the District Inspectors and Detectives Divisions of Adjara Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained G.S. (DoB 1966) as a result of jointly held operative and investigative activities.
The detainee is accused of illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities, as well as illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition.
Committed crime envisages up to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.
During the personal search and search activities held in detainee’s temporary place of residence, the law enforcers seized buprenorphine-containing,147 pills of “Suboxone” and 5 packages of "Heroin" as evidence. Police also seized Tokarev pistol, “Nagan“revolver and 18 magazines as evidence.
Investigation on the fact of illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities and illegal firearms and ammunition is in progress under article 260, parts I and VI, article 236, part III envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
