Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Butkhuzi and Director of “112” Center, Giorgi Arsoshvili hosted World Health Organization Regional Director of Europe, Hans Kluge and Ekaterine Tikaradze – the acting Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs – Tamar Gabunia.
Guests visited the call center and got familiarized with work specifics of the “112”. Guests have also witnessed how calls are handled at the center and referred to the relevant services.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the functions that were added to the "112" center during the global pandemic.
Public Safety Management Center “112” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is actively involved in the Coronavirus management process and operates in a special mode, so that each citizen receives timely and highly qualified services.
It should be noted that Hans Kluge, Regional Director for Europe at the World Health Organization, positively assessed the work of 112 and the activities that Center has developed to effectively manage the Coronavirus.
