Minister of Internal Affairs announced new phase of the technological reform
On November 1 of the current year, new regulation on video fines under Administrative Code of Offences enters into force.
Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili hosted various media representatives at Joint Operations Center and reviewed ongoing technological reforms.
“In line of contemporary world, Ministry of Internal Affairs is always oriented on further development. One of our priorities includes introduction of innovative projects and technological reform, which will improve the level of safety of our citizens even more. Police technological reform is entering new phase”-stated Minister of Internal Affairs.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsishvili has made a presentation for the representatives of media on the new regulation of the video fining envisaged by the Administrative Code of Offences
At Joint Operations Center journalists were able to see how the monitoring is being conducted, violations fixated and video fines issued automatic mode by means of the newest technologies applied.
As it was noticed at the presentation, during 2017, up to 3000 the so called smart cameras were installed. Video-analytical programs implemented in the Joint Operations Center will notice various administrative violations in automatic mode and violator will be fined.
