The project organized by NGO Constitutional Rights Protection Center, legal entity of public law - State Fund for Assistance and Protection of the Victims of Human Trafficking`, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia was implemented in 2009.
Retraining of patrol police officers and neighborhood police inspectors on prevention of domestic violence in regions inhabited by IDPs and refugees was planned within the project. Trainings have already been held in Gori, Zugdidi, Rustavi, Telavi, Lagodekhi and Dusheti.
25-50 police officers form the mentioned regions took part in the training. Altogether 250 police officers passed training on domestic violence.
