Within the framework of the housing project, the construction process of the residential buildings in Tbilisi and Rustavi has been completed.
Giorgi Butkhuzi, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, congratulated the policemen who own the apartments in the newly built building located in Gldani district of Tbilisi and handed over the apartment keys.
The housing project was implemented in Tbilisi, Rustavi and Batumi. Within the framework of the project, the employees of the Ministry were given the opportunity to receive apartments in accordance with modern standards and affordable prices. According to the project, the police officers will be financed by the state with 40% of the construction cost, the remaining 60% will be covered with their own funds or mortgage loans. All individuals participating in the project will receive 77.4 sq.m. apartment in the so called "white frame" condition.
All newly built residential buildings have indoor and outdoor shared parking and planted outdoor perimeter.
Eligible candidates, willing to purchase apartments at a discounted price under the housing project were selected by the commission established under the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs. The winners were selected on a lottery basis.
At this stage, the apartments were handed over to 83 police officers in Tbilisi and 56 police officers in Rustavi. The process of housing construction continues in Batumi.
