In order to comply with decisions and recommendations made by the Inter-Agency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia, Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to operate in a round-the-clock regime.
Ministry of Internal Affairs along with the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) is actively monitoring citizens in self-isolation throughout Georgia to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
9 civilians from Kharagauli, Tbilisi, Kobuleti, Kutaisi, Marneuli and Batumi have been exposed and transferred to the quarantine zones for violating self-isolation rules as a result of intensive monitoring activities.
Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to remind citizens that all persons on the territory of Georgia must follow the requirements of the Georgian legislation on public health and respect decisions of Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC).
The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to demonstrate high public responsibility and comply with mentioned regulations.
Within the frames of control and monitoring activities, Public Safety Management Center "112" provides individuals in self-isolation with respective information and alerts through text messages and phone calls on the regular basis.
Herewith, in order to implement the decisions and recommendations adopted by the Inter-Agency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia, the Security Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carries out 24-hour monitoring and ensures safety of quarantine zones.
In order to prevent the possibility of spreading the coronavirus disease, Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to use digital services (https://www.police.ge) of Service Agency (www.sa.gov.ge) Unified Service Center (Tel: 2414242) and Department of Migration ( Tel: 2419607; 2419634; e-mail-migration@mia,gov.ge) and visit the mentioned facilities only in case of emergency.
It is notable that part of structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been temporarily moved on distance work schedule.
