Under the initiative and organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs alongside the Ministry of Education and Science the meeting with public school N1 of Chokhatauri was held with pupils within the frames of the project “Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools”.
The program is aimed to promote public awareness and crime prevention among youth.
The meeting was attended by detective-investigator of the Central Criminal Police Department Irakli Ananidze and Gia Jumukhadze as well as the representative of the resource center under the Ministry of Education and Science Shorena Makharadze.
The MIA representatives discussed various forms of the organized crime including trafficking, cybercrime and ways of crime prevention. They familiarized students with crime statistics. The meeting continued in Q&A format. MIA representatives provided comprehensive answers to all raised questions.
The project “Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools” was launched by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in May of the current year. The program is aimed to promote public awareness and crime prevention among youth. In the mentioned program public and private schools of Tbilisi, Kvemo and Shida Kartli and Kakheti region were involved.
Within the frames of the project MIA held dozens of seminars at public schools involving Central Criminal Police Department and Patrol Police. In the scope of the project 51 excursions were also held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The project “Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools” continues in Tbilisi and other regions of the country.
