MIA emergency management department staff continues search and rescue activities to find the 73-year-old German scientist disappeared in Borjomi-Kharagauli national park on June 8th. Search efforts are ensured by the rescue groups under way of land and by helicopter.
Hans Hoefle was working on environment protection issues and visited Georgia under the invitation of Deutsche Gesellschaft fr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Pursued to preliminary information expert went to Borjomi Gorge on June 7th. On June 10th 112 received report that the expert was missing. MIA emergency management department began search and rescue operations on the same day. According to preliminary information German expert was seen on June 8th in the vicinity of the territories of Sametskhvareo and Lomismta.
