Expert-forensic Main Division of MIA hosted pupils and teachers of the European School. The meeting was held in the scope of the “Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools” project, implemented under the initiative and organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with Ministry of Education and Science. The guests were welcomed by head of K-9 unit of expert-forensic Main Division of MIA Zviad Nizharadze.
The representatives of Expert-forensic main Division of MIA got the guests familiarized with the work specifics of the division and gave comprehensive answers to the questions. The guests also had an information tour around the K-9 unit, got introduced to means of odor and trace detection, fingerprinting procedures, participated in crime and investigation simulation game. The visit was aimed at promoting development of the public awareness in the field of law and security.
From May 1 Ministry of Internal Affairs launched informative-educational campaign, aimed at informing public on forms of relations with law enforcement agencies and on citizens’ rights provided by the law, crime prevention among youth by promoting development of the public awareness in the field of law and security. Within the frames of the project -“Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools" meetings with pupils will be held at schools of the capital and regions, including ethnic minority schools.
