Rescuers of Emergency Situations Management Department completed search operation for lost citizens on mount Zoti.
Emergency Response Center “112” received notification on January 2. Notification contained information that citizen was caught in avalanche in Zoti village, Adigeni.
According to the information group of four young men was moving from Bortsevi village to the village of Kikibo when snow mass the route leading to Shedrekili settlement. Three people managed to escape the avalanche however the fourth one went missing.
Samtskhe-Javakheti unit of rescues immediately departed to the site of incident. Regional rescue units were also mobilized at the place of disaster with special equipment.
On January 3 helicopter of border police was also involved in the operation. As a result of search operation rescuers managed to rescue three citizens while the fourth was found dead.
