Lifeguards of the Emergency Situations Management Agency under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have rescued 31 people in Batumi and Kobuleti during the storm in the twelve hours period.
Lifeguards of the MIA made the operative response on all reports and managed to bring all those who were in need of rescuing to the shore.
At this moment, red flags are hanged on all watchtowers located along the shoreline which indicated that swimming is forbidden. Despite the mentioned, vacationers still enter the sea. Ministry would like to request citizens to follow the instructions and consider recommendations for security reasons.
As soon as the storm is over and sea will be safe for swimming, white flags will be hanged on all watchtowers of MIA.
