The officers of General Inspection of MIA as a result of operative-investigative activities detained senior operative employee, senior lieutant of first division of Ajara Regional Main division( Batumi, Kobuleti, Khelvachauri) of Anti-corruption Agency of MIA G.M in the vicinities of Sarfi state border for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs.
During the personal search of detainee the employees of General Inspection of MIA seized 5 pills of drug. Detained police officer has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs, article 260, I part, of the Criminal Code which envisages up to 11 years of inprisonment. Investigation is conducted by General Inspection of MIA.
