Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Archil Talakvadze and head of Security Police Guram Tomaradze opened new building of Security Police in Bakuriani.
In new building which is equipped with newest computer technic and inventory, in accordance with contemporary standards, operative units of Secure Police will be dislocated. Deputy Minister viewed the building and infrastructure.
In connection with the opening of the winter season, the Ministry will intensify security measures in order to ensure safety of tourists and visitors. More than 70 facilities are protected by the Security Police (hotels, commercial facilities, cottages). Security Police also ensures security of cableway route. In case of alarm operative units are equipped not only with vehicles but also with snowmobiles in order to make quick response.
Security Police building in Bakuriani is the fourth newly constructed building after Ureki, Gudauri and Tbilisi. In order to improve work conditions of policemen construction process of new buildings and infrastructure will continue in 2015. Deputy Minister Archil Talakvadze awarded 9 Security Police employees with medals for 10, 15 and 20 years of impeccable service. Head of Security Police Guram Tomaradze awarded 3 female police employees with sertificates of appriciation from the Minister. All the awarded police officers are employed at Samtckhe-Javakheti Security Police division.
