Archive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted descendants of XX century heroes. Heads of MIA Academy and Archive handed over 2015 calendar to the guests, in which histories of the heroes are depicted.
The event was attended by descendants of Georgian heroes: Ilamaz Mitsishvili, Lela Gotua, Guramda Ghvaladze, Guranda Muskhelishvili, children of the repressed individuals, Nukri Gelashvili-Rector of MIA Academy, Omar Tushurashvili-head of MIA Archive and other representatives of the Agency.
2015 calendar is dedicated to XX century heroes who were persecuted by the Soviet regime and became victims of repressions. Calendar includes interesting details of 12 Georgian patriots and examples of their devotion.
Calendar includes information regarding: the writer Levan Gotua, Tamar Bagrationi, spouse of Nikolo Mitshishvili-member of the “Blue Horn”, General Rostom Muskhelishvili, companions of Kakutsa Cholokashvili- Evgeni Ghvaladze, singer-Davit (Datashka) Kavsadze, patriarch Kalistrate Tsintsadze, Kristine Sharashidze- member of Constituent Assembly of the Independent Georgia and others.
At the event guests were shown documentary film “Order №00486“, dedicated to women repressed in 1937-1938 years among which: spouse of Evgeni Mikeladze-Ketevan Orakhelashvili, Nutsa Khutsishvili-mother of the film director, Lana Ghoghoberidze, prominent member of the Georgian aristocracy-Babo Dadiani are enlisted. Film includes memories of the film director-Lana Ghoghoberidze, historians’ reviews and memories of the repressed women. Film “Order №00486“ shows the difficult path which repressed women have gone through while being exiled and after returning to motherland.
