Within the framework of memorandum concluded between MIA Academy and Public Defender’s Office the joint seminar on “Rights of the Disabled Persons” was held. The seminar was opened by Nukri Gelashvili –rector of MIA Academy.
Seminar was conducted by the representative of Public Defender’s Office Natia Piranishvili and UN lawyer Irina Oboladze.
At the seminar issues of defending rights of disabled persons were discussed in accordance with Georgian legislation and UN convention issued on December 13, 2006.
By the end of the meeting practical exercise was held on the mentioned topic.
