The officers of Zugdidi Regional Division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department along with the officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Main Division of the Patrol Police Department as a result of the operative-searching activities detained Zaal A. (DoB 1987) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms.
During the search of the house of the detainee policemen seized AKS model submachine gun and 1 cartridge. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms (Article 236, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
