The officers of the Kvemo Kartli regional division under the Central Criminal Police Department, as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of the operative information detained Neimat K. (DoB 1990) in Iormughalo village for illegal purchase, keeping and carrying and the attempted selling of firearms.
During the personal search of the detainee policemen seized AK-74 automatic weapon with one cartridge and 32 bullets, Makarov pistol with one cartridge, 8 bullets and 6000 GEL.
Investigation established that Neimat K. was planning to sell the mentioned firearms and ammunition and had received 6000 GEL from the client in advance. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying and the attempted selling of firearms, article 236, II and III parts and article 19-236 IV part envisaged by the Criminal Code.
