The officers of Gldani-Nadzaladevi police division along with district inspectors unit as a result of the jointly held operative-searching activities detained previously convicted Elguja Zh. (DoB 1982) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase, carrying and keeping of firearms.
During the personal search of the detainee policemen seized Makarov pistol, three cartridges and 19 bullets. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, carrying and keeping of firearms, article 236, III part of the Criminal Code.
