The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained V.T. (DoB 1961) for illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition, while I.G. (DoB 1986) was detained in Tbilisi for and illegal purchase, keeping and selling of firearms and ammunition.
During the searching activities held in the vehicle of I.G. law enforcers seized Kalashnikov automatic weapon, Browning pistol, 2 cartridges and 33 bullets. According to the results of expertise the seized weapons and ammunition are suitable for shooting. Investigation established that I.G. received weapons and ammunition from V.T.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping, carrying and selling of firearms and ammunition, article 236, II, III and IV parts of the Criminal Code.
