The officers of Mestia police division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Sverian K. (DoB 1951) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During searching activities held in detainee’s warehouse located in his orchard policemen seized “AKC” automatic weapon, 5 cartridges and 356 bullets. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236 I part of the Criminal Code.
