The officers of Ajara division of Central Criminal Police Department as a result of searching and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Gigo DZ. (DoB 1976) for illegal purchase and keeping of illegal firearms and ammunition.
During the personal search held in the detainee’s house in Batumi, law enforcers found 2 Kalashnikov firearms, two cartridges, 30 bullets, 5 hand grenades and etc.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of illegal firearms and ammunition, article 236, I part of the Criminal Code.
