The officers of Telavi Regional Division of Kakheti Police Department of the MIA as a result of immediate operative-investigative activities on the fact of premeditated murder detained previously convicted G.G.
The investigation established that in Telavi region the detainee on the basis of conflict inflicted the injuries with a cold arm to V.G. (DoB: 1968) and fled from the scene. The victim died immediately upon his transfer to the hospital.
The law enforcers detained G.G. in a few hours. During the search of a detainee the weapon of murder – knife - was seized by police as an evidence. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The preliminary investigation revealed the circumstances related to mental health of a detainee that may be the reason for the murder committed.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder (Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
