The officers of Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Main Division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained previously convicted Genadi I. (DoB 1983) for committing premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances.
Investigation established that on July 10 Genadi I. inflicted lethal injuries with a firearm to Melania Q. (DoB 1965) and her grand granddaughter Ekaterina N, born in 2013 on the basis of vengeance. The incident took place in Gogasheni village, Akhalkalaki district. Due to the injuries victims died after they were transferred to the hospital. The offender fled from the place of crime. As a result of immediate operative-searching activities law enforcers detained Genadi I. in several hours after the crime took place. He was located in the nearby forest. Detainee has admitted the committed crime. Law enforcers already seized CKC automatic weapon as a weapon of crime.
Investigation also established that several years ago detainee threatened the daughter of Melania Q. for which he was detained in 2011 for threats under the article 151.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances, article 109 of the Criminal Code.
