The officers of the Border Police of the MIA as a result of the activities carried out on the section under protection of the First Border Sector (Sarpi) of the First Division (Batumi) detained the citizen of the Republic of Bangladesh Hymaiun K. (DoB: 1987) for the attempted illegal crossing of the State Border.
The investigation established that the accused attempted to bypass the border check-point and thus cross the State Border of Georgia in the direction of the Republic of Turkey.
The investigation is in progress over the fact of attempted illegal crossing of the State Border (1st part of the Article 19-344 of the Criminal Code of Georgia). The investigation is conducted by the Investigation-Operative Main Division of the Border Police.
