The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of investigative activities held on te basis of the operative information detained G.G. (DoB 1961) at “Sarpi” border crossing point for being a “Thief in Law”.
Investigation established that G.G. is notoriously known in a criminal world as “Thief in Law” since 1981. He was detained when he crossed Georgia state border from the side of the Turkish Republic.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of being a “Thief in Law”, article 223 (1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
