The officers of Central Criminal Police Department and Samegrelo-Z3mo Svaneti Division of MIA as a result of operative and investigative activities detained Omar J. (DoB 1978) for illegal purchase, purchase and smuggling of drugs on the territory of Georgia in large quantities. The mentioned person was detained at Tbilisi International Airport.
During the personal search of detainee police seized drug, which according to the expertise contains 0,8768 gr of Methadone.
Investigation established that detainee smuggled drug from Ukraine.
Investigation is in progress under the article 260, II part, sub-paragraph A, and article 262, II part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
