The Ministry of Internal Affairs has hosted citizens in a mock-safe town - "This is my city" within the frames of traffic safety campaign-“For the sake of you and your safety”. The city was arranged in the vicinity of Rabati Castle, located in the town of Akhaltsikhe, marking Shalva Akhaltsikheti day.
In mock town, the technic, armament and equipment of different units of the MIA were presented. Besides the exhibition, various surprises were prepared for the children and adults.
The MIA Academy presented the animation hero "Poly" at the event, who guided guests of the safe city. Citizens who came to the virtual shooting range were able to become policeman for a few minutes with the help of the instructor.
The Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized a cognitive-entertainment area for the children, where the staff of the Service Agency conducted a fun theoretical and practical examination for children aged 5 to 10 to obtain a bicycle driving license. The guests visited racing cars and photo exhibition presented by the Service Agency. The face of the MIA traffic safety program, the champion of European championship, discussed the MIA traffic safety campaign.
The children were able to see a fire truck of the MIA Emergency Situations Management Agency and have fun on trampoline, while MIA firefighters ensured their security.
The 112 department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has introduced innovative project for children - "112 Spacecraft", where teenagers participated in specially designed computer games using modern technologies.
The Security Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the Security Police Exhibition Corner, involved Children in interesting adventures and handed out symbolic gifts. On the "safe street" the security police presented encashment and operational response vehicles, as well as eco-transport.
Patrol Police Department presented patrol equipment and patrol vehicles, including "Ford-Interceptor", patrol pickups, motorcycles and etc.
The Border Police organized an exhibition of transport and equipment of Land Border Defense and Coast Guard departments. Guests had the opportunity to visit border guards’ quadrocycles and coast guards’ diving equipment, chemical and radiation detectors, individual flashlight, radiation identifier, night vision equipment, location determination system, photo trap and astronomical binoculars.
Special equipment and ammunition: "Kobra", "Wolf" and "Defender" were presented in the exhibition venue of the Special Tasks Department.
Border police officers and specially trained dogs defended the borders of mock town, while patrol inspectors took care of the security and order of the guests.
