The officers of Vake-Saburtalao police division as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Giorgi Q. (DoB 1992) for committing armed robbery.
Investigation established that late at night, Giorgi Q. being under the influence of alcohol attempted to snatch a handbag of a certain person on Pekini Street. Giorgi Q. inflicted minor injuries in neck and wrist areas to his victim and fled from the place of crime. The victim was rendered first aid at the hospital. At this moment her condition of health is satisfactory.
As a result of immediate operative-investigative activities Giorgi Q. was detained next day on Kostava Street, Tbilisi. He has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery, article 179, I part of the Criminal Code.
