The officers of Tbilisi Police Main Division detained previously convicted Davit A. on Kherkheulidze Street, Tbilisi (DoB 1987) for theft. Investigation established that early in the morning on January 31 the mentioned person stole one of the components of Sopiko Tchiaureli sculpture composition, located on Leselidze Street.
Law enforcers detained Davit A. on the second day after the crime took place as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities. As a result of searching activities held in the detainee’s basement law enforcers seized stolen item as evidence.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of theft, article 177, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
