The officers of Kakheti Regional Main Division as a result of investigative and searching activities held on the basis of operative information detained previously convicted for hooliganism Aslan P. (DoB 1983) for illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs. Police also detained Levan A. (DoB 1986) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in the village of Erisimeda.
Investigation established that Aslan P. sold drugs. During the personal search and searching activities held in his house law enforcers seized cash received through selling of drugs and marijuana in large quantities. Investigation also ascertained that Aslan P. sold drugs on the regular basis.
According to the results of expertise drugs seized from Aslan P. amounted to 38,9602gr of while the amount of marijuana which was detected in his house has reached 294,47 gr. Drug tests revealed that both of the detainees were drug-addicted persons.
Investigation is in progress against Aslan P. on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs,(article 260, I and II parts sub-paragraph) while investigation against another detainee is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs (article 260 I part) of the criminal code.
