The officers of Central Criminal Police Department as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Vakhtang B (DoB 1980) for illegal import of drugs in especially large quantities on the territory of Georgia. The mentioned person was detained by the law enforcers at Tbilisi International Airport.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized 28 pills of handmade drug substance (7,5 gr which according to the expertise contains 0,0683gr of methamphetamine and 0,4037gr of amphetamine), 20 pills of handmade pills containing 0,515gr of amphetamine, 46 blue, handmade pills , containing 3,0147gr of MDMA- the so called ecstasy and dried marijuana leaves.
Investigation established that Vakhtang B. illegally purchased drugs, kept them and illegally imported them on the territory of Georgia through the airport.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and import of drugs on the territory of Georgia (article 262, II, III and IV parts, sub-paragraph A and article 260 II and III parts, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code). The committed crime envisages lifetime imprisonment.
