The officers Batumi police division of Ajara Regional Main Division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Turkish citizen Edra H. (DoB 1988) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities and Turkish citizen Mesud I. (DoB 1988) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities. Both of detainees were taken under arrest in Batumi.
During the personal search of Edra H. law enforcers seized 68 pills of the so called "ecstasy" drug which according to expertise contains 1,823 gr of amphetamine. Police also seized 8,995 gr of drug wrapped in two packages from another detainee, containing 0, 7645 gr of cannabis.
Investigation against Edra H. is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities (article 260, III part, sub-paragraph A) while investigation agaianst another detainee is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities (article 260, II part) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
