The officers of detectives division of Ajara Regional Main Division and districts inspectors division as a result of jointly held operative-investigative activities detained Mamuka B. 9DoB 1978) in Batumi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities and illegal import on the territory of Georgia.
During the searching activities held in the detainee’s vehicle policemen seized 16 packages of drug, weighing 25,95 gr, which according to expertise contains 6,496gr of heroin. Mamuka B. was smuggling drugs with a special cache sewed into the jeans. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities and illegal import on the territory of Georgia (article 260, III part, sub-paragraph A and article 262, IV part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code).
