The officers of the Detective Division of Tbilisi Main Division and the II Main Division of the State Security Agency - as a result of operative-investigative activities - detained the members of organized criminal group: Namik Kh. (Dob 1976), Alikhar I. (Dob 1975), Rada B.(Dob 1981), Inara I. (Dob 1983) on the fact of money extortion and illegal obtaining, keeping or spreading of private life reflecting information.
Investigation established that the detainees illegally obtained the civilians` private life reflecting information and extorted money from them under the threat of using and spreading of such information.
During the search of vehicle owned by Namik Kh. the law enforcers seized 5000 USD as evidence. From the apartment of Rada B. there were seized video recording and audio wiretapping devices used by the detainees for illegal recordings of private life of the civilians.
Detainees have already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of money extortion and Illegal obtaining, keeping or spreading of private life information – the crime envisaged by the sub clause “a” of the III part of the article 181 and the sub clause “a” of the III part of the article 157, Criminal Code of Georgia.
