The officers of Patrol Police Department of Kvemo Kartli Main Regional Division and Customs Department of Revenue Service, as a result of jointly held operative-searching activities, detained citizen of Armenia Razmik S. (DoB 1988) when he was undergoing customs procedures at 3rd division of Border Police (Tsiteli Khidi) 6th border sector, for illegal purchase and keeping and illegal transit of drugs to Georgia in especially large quantities, illegal purchase, keeping, carrying and transit of firearms and ammunition to Georgia.
Investigation established, that the detainee was carrying 1,2 kg. of narcotic substance and automatic weapon, as well as 30 cartridges illegally in his own car to Georgia. As a result of personal search of the detainee, law enforcers seized a plastic bag with narcotic substance and as a result of searching carried out at his car seized 30 cartridges as evidence. According to the expertise results, seized narcotic substance contains 271,08 gr. of cannabis.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, illegal transit of drugs, illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition.
