The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of immediate operative-investigative activities detained Gia S. (DoB 1979) for premeditated murder.
Investigation established that Gia S. inflicted single lethal injury in throat area with a cold steel to his spouse- Ira P. (DoB 1981) who died at the place of crime. The incident took place on the basis of jealousy in the detainee’s house located in Kirtskhi village, Chkhorotsku.
Law enforcers detained Gia S. several minutes after the crime took place. The weapon of murder was seized as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder committed on the grounds of domestic violence, article 111-108 of the Criminal Code.
