The officers of Adjara Main Division of the MIA as a result of immediate operative and investigative activities detained Mamuka G. (DoB 1987) in Shuakhevi for premeditated murder.
Investigation established that on September 10, at night, in Abkhazeti str, Batumi, as a result of a conflict Mamuka Sh. caused one injury to Mamuka A. with a cold arm, later with the same knife he deadly injured Raul M. (D.o.B.: 1990).
At the same time Mamuka G., the person accompanying Mamuka A. and Raul M., deadly injured Mamuka Sh. and disappeared from the scene. Mamuka Sh. and Raul M. died shortly after they were transferred to the hospital.
Based on searching and investigative activities, the law enforcers detained Mamuka G. in the village Khabelashvilebi, Shuakhevi region. As a result of a personal search of the detainee the police seized “Makarov” system pistol and narcotic mean marijuana. The second weapon – knife – was seized from the crime scene. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress over the fact of premeditated murder and illegal purchase and keeping of firearm (Article 108; 2nd part of the Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
