The officers of Batumi City Division of Adjara Main Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained in Batumi previously convicted Giorgi M. (DoB: 1991) for the attempted premeditated murder.
The investigation established that on September 17, in Tbilisi Square, Batumi, the detainee as a result of a conflict inflicted two injuries with a cold arm to Zviad G. (DoB:1971). The wounded individual was transferred to Batumi Referral Hospital, currently his health condition is extremely critical.
The law enforcers detained the accused in a few minutes in the vicinity of a crime scene. The weapon of a crime – knife – was seized as a material evidence. The detainee pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of attempted premeditated murder (article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
