The officers of Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Main Division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Artur I. (DoB.1985), Armen K. (DoB 1982) for non-reporting the crime, while previously convicted Armen N. (DoB 1989) was detained for non-reporting the crime and assaulting policeman.
Investigation established that on July 26, near to Orjo village, Akhalkalaki municipality detainees assisted persons accused of murder.
In particular, they met persons entering Georgia from Armenia through the Ninotsminda border checkpoint; they handed over Kalashnikov automatic weapon and car by which persons accused of murder moved around the Georginan territory after crossing the state border.
Lately, detainees provided the mentioned persons with the information on the whereabouts of the victim and purchased mobile SIM cards for them. Armen N. offered resistance to the police in the moment of the detention. The vehicle by which the accused persons drove around was found by police in Tsalka region which appeared to be burnt down. The weapon of murder – “Kalashnikov” automatic weapon was seized as evidence. Artur I. has already pleaded guilty. Investigation is in progress on the fact of non-reporting the crime and assaulting policeman, articles 376 and 353 (1) of the Criminal Code. Investigation is still in progress to detained those guilty of committing murder.
