The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division and Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Main Division of MIA as a result of investigative activities detained resident of Abasha, Giorgi S. (DoB 1994) for premeditated murder, stealing and damaging of object.
Investigation established that detainee inflicted lethal injury with gun to resident of Anjeri village, Abasha district Totia M. (Dob 1964) on the basis of conflict and burned his body in order to conceal the traces of crime. Afterwards Giorgi S. stole cattle of victim and fled from the place of crime.
As a result of immediate investigative activities Giorgi S. was detained by the law enforcers in Bolajuri village, Adigeni district. The weapon of murder was seized as evidence by policemen. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, stealing and damaging of object, article 108, article 177 part IV and article 187 part II of the Criminal Code. Investigation is conducted by Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division of MIA.
