The officers of Division for Fight against Organized Crime, division for Fight against Narco transit, Customs Department of Revenue Service and Main Prosecutor’s Office of the Central Criminal Police Department, as a result of jointly held operative-investigative activities detained citizen of Lebanon Eliano K (DoB 1990) for illegal purchase, keeping and attempted smuggling of drugs in especially large quantities at Sarphi BCP.
Law enforcers found cocaine in the secret pocket in detainee’s handbag and in the laminated photo album, which according to the expertise results weighs up to 7 kg and 348 gr. The detainee was trying to carry the abovementioned drug in especially large quantities via Georgian transit road to the Republic of Turkey.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and attempted smuggling of drugs. (Article 260, part 3, subparagraph “A” and article 19-262, part 4, subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
