The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division of the MIA as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained the resident of Zugdidi Davit T. (DoB: 1975) in Samtredia for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee the law enforcers seized narcotic mean – heroin – packed in 25 packages. Drug test confirmed the fact of abuse of opium by the detainee.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities (part 6 of the article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
