The officers of Vake-Saburtalo police division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained I.B. (DoB 1979) for armed robbery and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearm.
Investigation established that on January3, the detainee broke into the “Bank of Georgia” branch, located on Bakhtrioni Street, appropriated 8055 USD, 4105 GEL and fled from the place of crime.
Law enforcers managed to detain I.B. several days later on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue, Tbilisi. Policemen seized the appropriated sum and firearm as evidence.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearm, article 179, II part and sub-paragraph A, article 236, II and III parts of the Criminal Code.
