At the Ministry of Internal Affairs meeting of the Standing Commission for Domestic Violence, Prevention and Response was held which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsisvili.
At the meeting sides discussed issues connected to monitoring on restraint orders, future trainings aimed for boosting qualification of the law enforcers, as well as ongoing joint project of MIA and EU-“Ministry of Internal Affairs Against Domestic violence”.
The project is aimed to inform society on issues of domestic violence, to train law enforcers of the mentioned topic and improve coordination with non-governmental sector and state agencies.
Fight against domestic violence is among top priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. with this purpose the Ministry actively cooperates with civil sector.
