Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Levan Izoria attended training within the frames of one of the projects of “Women’s Information Center” which is funded by the European Union. The training was held on 20-22 October and co-organized by “Kakheti Regional Development Fund”.
At the training the role of law enforcement units in prevention of violence, acting legislation on domestic violence and existing problems in this regard were discussed. Training participants were granted relevant certificates by Deputy Minister Levan Izoria and head of “Women’s Information Center” Elene Rusetskaia.
Project is aimed at raising awareness in connection with problems related to the violence against women among population of Pankisi gorge, local religion minorities and refugees.
In the mentioned training officers of Akhmeta police division, Kakheti main division of Patrol Police Department and other representatives of the law enforcement agencies took part.
