I would like to state with all responsibility that Ministry of Internal Affairs is committed to fulfill principles directed to the protection of human rights whether it will be a witness, victim or any other person. This is the main principle of our job. Taking into consideration the above mentioned, in case of detecting any violation, the prompt reaction is guaranteed from the side of the law enforcers, therefore on all violations investigation is launched at the General Inspection and I also received information that on certain cases Prosecutors Office started investigative activities. Therefore blaming the Ministry of Internal Affairs and making statements on the supposed violations is not acceptable. We would like to call on all non-governmental organizations, including individuals, to abstain from making such statements. General Inspection and Prosecutors office will inform us on their results and conclusions and respectively those guilty will be punished in accordance with the law. I want to assure you that for each police officer who truly serves society, and protects your rights, such statements and slander will be perceived as effort to discredit law enforcers, therefore I would like to advice everyone to abstain from making such statements”.
