Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held meeting with the participation of non-governmental organizations. Round table meeting was held on domestic violence issues and crimes against women.
On the meeting non-governmental and international organizations declared their positions about the role of Police in prevention of domestic violence and crime. Head of Administration of MoIA presented future plans and strategy to fight effectively with the mentioned problem.
Each reform implemented at the Ministry of Internal Affairs is aimed at providing better service. Fight against violence towards women and domestic violence is included in MIA development strategy among top priorities. Various activities are held in this direction with the assistance of non-governmental and international organizations and in parallel with trainings are held for the law enforcers on the regular basis in order to boost qualification. MIA representatives are actively involved in the process of elaborating legislative changes.
Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue and deepen cooperation with civil sector on domestic violence issues and crimes against women.
